American Breakfast

Indian Black Tea, Salkathoni Estate, Assam

This classic Assam tea is bold, rich and makes a perfect companion to a hearty breakfast. We were looking for a strong Assam tea that reminded us of Indian street chai, and this gem from the Salkathoni estate in Assam fit the bill. American Breakfast is produced using the CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl) method of manufacture, which results in these potent, tightly rolled pellets. You can drink this tea plain (it produces a dark chocolate-amber liquor as shown in the photos), or if you prefer, add a dash of milk and a little sweetener. Enjoy hot or iced.

A good, solid assam

This is a true Assam tea. It has all the required maltiness of a strong and rich tea. I tend to make masala tea with this, and it's a gourmet experience (I used to use Lipton tea bags, and when you use this tea, you'll quickly understand the difference). Thanks for a speedy order delivery and now that I have rewards points, I shall definitely be a regular customer! Great job.

nostalgia!

This reminded me of my childhood sipping chai in the morning. I am happy to find this tea in the USA

Simply Dreamy Tea

Dec 7, 2006 by: Amanda 5

American Breakfast is an ideal morning tea. It's brisk, bold and really delicious. I highly recommend it with a dash of cream and sugar. I usually drink coffee in the morning, but this is an awesome caffeine kick as well, with added health benefits. What could be better. An excellent buy.

Biscuity and Malty

Oct 3, 2006 by: Philip 5

This has a definite kick to it. It's got a biscuity aroma, and as described, is a rather reddish color in the cup. Of course, since its an Assam, its most definitely malty. A strong tea. I drink it without milk or sugar, although I'm sure you can add it in without affecting the quality of the taste too much. I look forward to buying this again.

Very good morning tea
