Glass Tea Press Pot With Steel Infuser and Lid

Bodum was asked by the British Tea Council to develop a new way of brewing tea. Their lead designer, C. Jorgensen came up with this iconic and timeless design in response. The Assam tea press is crafted with a borosilicate glass body and a stainless steel infuser. It works beautifully with loose leaf or bagged teas and lets you determine your desired brewing strength. Simply place your loose tea in the tea press, and when the proper time has elapsed, press down the plunger to complete the brewing process. Once plunged, the filter holds the tea below the infuser holes, so brewing is brought to an abrupt halt, preventing your tea from becoming bitter. Assam comes with a stay-cool knob, and is dishwasher safe (with the lid and rod removed) and microwave safe (except for stainless steel rod and lid).

My favorite teapot

Several of my friends own the Assam Teapot and swear by them. This was my first purchase from Simple leaf and I am very pleased with the service. My first brew was their Tankha oolong tea. MMMMMMMM!!

Solid teapot

Assam is a solid teapot that has evolved and improved over time. This particular version doesn't drip, which is the most important thing for me as I've purchased several teapots over the last several years that seem to have severe drippage when you pour.

I love all bodum products and was delighted to find them here. What I love about this tea press is that it you can see your leaves brew through the clear kettle. It really makes a great tea.
